This is a list of some major categories of files in the alt.backrubs archive.
Not all files appear in this list. Links from filenames here
lead to the file descriptions in `Abstracts' File. Comments are

This document contains very brief descriptions of the contents of each file in the alt.backrubs archive. The descriptions were originally for use only by the archiver in deciding what file, or files, in which to put articles. The descriptions of some of the files should be changed since other people read this file now.
This document contains information about the archive of postings to the Usenet newsgroup alt.backrubs. The document was originally created by adding some markup to a version of the archive announcement, that was posted to the newsgroup on about 13 August 1995. Various changes have been made since then. It isn't intended to be a great example of hypertext but this isn't my job either :).
This is a list of documents about medicine, alternative health care and Usenet that I put together one rainy afternoon. Many of the references here come from the w3.sites file in the alt.backrubs archive so there is a bias towards the type of resources that I think interest alt.backrubs readers the most. Some of these sites are described in part 5 of the alt.backrubs frequently asked questions list.
The alt.backrubs frequently asked questions list is posted in plaintext form to the newsgroup every 14 days. A copy of the latest version with major changes is available in the archive file faql. Some previous versions are available in the faql.all file.
The latest version that was posted to the alt.answers and news.answers newsgroups is available via FTP from the rtfm.mit.edu site (which is in the USA). It might be out of date by as much as 14 days out of synch with the archive's version, but that is unlikely.
